Aurore is a Californian, life-long photographer, based in Paris, France. “The lens transports me into unique space, invites partnership in conception, then returns with a new experience and fresh perspective realized in creation.” Emerging from a full career and formal studies in psychology/psychophysiology, social justice & corrections, with an emphasis on well-being for women, children and families, Aurore has been photographing professionally since 1997. She has studied, lived and worked in California & Hawaii in the U.S., Florence, Italy, Cadaquès & Barcelona, Spain and now in Paris, France.

I fully enjoyed my Bamyan visit. As I approached Bamyan Boutique, 72, and Showroom at number 51 rue Saint-Louis-en-l’Île, on a tranquil late-morning Tuesday, I floated on the feeling.

It overfilled my senses with the global collective of the beyond-painful memories of the historical records of oppression and abuses perpetrated by humans. It easily could have pushed me into a ‘useless emotional state,’ yet I was surprisingly and thankfully impressed by the film’s excellence as an art form.
