I-50, it was a Monday and a voyage with a purpose. My sister collected me at SFO and we drove a couple of hours to her CA home to complete the packing so the new owners could enter their new home in four days time. The moving truck would arrive Thursday 7:30 A.M., and we would be “on the road again”(a tune that always surfaces when I make a road trip) by 10: 00 A.M.We would drive in my sister’s CA car to make the 1,000 mile journey to Colorado. 2016 San Francisco, CA; SF MOMA (brick). Seen from the hotel room which is scheduled after renovations to reopen in two weeks. I narrowly missed a visit to a site I frequented often.
The beautiful, expansive mileage spanned examples of Nature’s glorious mountain ranges, spectacular impressionist landscapes and stunning sculpture gardens.

While this clearly is not a London coffee-house, the citation serves to remind that perspectives vary greatly.
“It is folly of too many to mistake the echo of a London coffee-house for the voice of the Kingdom.” ~ SWIFT, The Conduct of the Allies, 1711 Jonathan Swift [1667 – 1745]

After arriving in Colorado and learning of a delay in the projected arrival of the household belongings, we took to the road again toward Santa Fe, New Mexico for a bite of Salvadoran cuisine, a visit to a bowling ally housing the mysterious exposition known as the ‘House of Eternal Returns’, and a taste of the best tea in Santa Fe at the Teahouse.
Meow Wolf, at its home in a bowling alley, is a walk-through, non-linear story-book style installation that plunges visitors into the universe between illusion and reality.

Rapidly changing technologies contribute to the need for vigilance in understanding how human nature fits in, blends in or stands out!
The Mendocino California Victorian home evidenced family life of the Seligs through collections of typical household foods, belongings, and photos. From which breaches of Nature’s known and trusted laws of time and space mysteriously caused this home to find itself and its belongings intact on 17 March, 2016 in Santa Fe, New Mexico? As a Californian, I wanted to know. It makes a fun day ! It was a spectacular voyage that I felt hounoured to share with my sister.
